Musician Bio
Steve hails from San Antonio, Texas. In his youth, he taught himself on various instruments, concentrating his professional training on the trumpet at the U.S. Army School of Music, continuing to serve a combined 20 years of active duty service in the 5th U.S. Army Band in San Antonio, Tx, the 2nd Division Band in Korea, and retired as a member of the prestigious Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps(the official escort to the President of the United States/Washington DC). Upon retirement, Steve developed a very successful trumpet teaching practice throughout the Washington DC metro area, as well as performing in many bands throughout the area. His youngest student, Geoffrey Gallante, was a guest trumpeter on the Jay Leno Show at the age of six.
Steve and his family moved out west to Bakersfield, California, in January 2006. He is currently very active in the area, as an educator, performer, band leader, and CEO/founder of The Bakersfield Jazz Workshop.

Steve has a successful private/classroom trumpet teaching practice in the Bakersfield area. He is the Brass instructor at California Keyboards and the CEO/Founder/Director of the Bakersfield Jazz Workshop.
Many of his students have won auditions for the Kern County Honor Band and Jazz Ensemble. He teaches all levels and age groups. Please feel free to contact Steve for inquiries or to schedule private lessons or clinics.
Performance | Entertainment
Steve is the founder and leader of The Bakersfield Jazz Orchestra, Groove Factor, and UpTown Swing. He is also a busy freelance trumpeter for many top local area bands, such as The Jay Smith Group.
Eisen regularly performs at Imbibe Wine and Spirits, Wiki's Wine Dive, The Padre Hotel, The Mark, Dot x Ott, as well as various private functions.
